Principal
Ted graduated from the University of Waterloo in 1978 with a Bachelor of Mathematics (Co-operative Chartered Accountancy option). With more than 30 years experience in public accounting, Ted’s expertise is with owner managed businesses in combining financial reporting, business and personal tax planning and wealth management.
Ted has worked with Chartered Accounting firms in Toronto, Guelph, Kitchener and Cambridge. His career started with ten years at a CA firm in Toronto, growing to manager level and vice-president of an associated management consulting firm. Opportunities and enough of Toronto traffic led to Ted and his family moving home to Cambridge in 1987. Ted spent four years as an employee and then six years as a principal managing the public accounting practice of Fraser M. Ross, Chartered Accountant, responsible for all aspects of operations, client needs and standards. The firm has been located in the heart of downtown Cambridge for more than 25 years, the property built pre-confederation. When Fraser retired at the end of 2006, Ted coordinated the integration of that practice with Young & Company and now is a Principal in YNC LLP.
Ted spends his time in both our Kitchener and Cambridge offices providing a broad range of services which include:
- Financial reporting engagements for compilation and assurance requirements
- Preparation and planning for all taxes - corporate, personal, trusts, payroll and investments
- New business start-up assistance, record keeping requirements and bookkeeping training
- Advisory services for all levels of business management
- Cash flow projections and business plans
